Junior Driver Saving Scheme available now

Harness Racing New Zealand is pleased to advise that the Junior Driver Savings Scheme developed by the Youth Council, went live from 1st of September 2019.

This scheme is designed to assist the next generation of licence holders to forge a sound financial understanding and plan, ensuring that once they finish as a junior driver they will have a saving base to help support them in the next phase of their career.

Junior Drivers will now have the option to deposit 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of their driving fees into a savings scheme. HRNZ’s preferred provider for this scheme is the Hammock Group, a nationwide Financial Services provider with clients from Auckland to Southland.

Matt Golding, a well-known HRNZ industry participant will be at the forefront of this enterprise, supporting the juniors during the initial set up process along with offering sound professional financial advice throughout.

Junior Drivers will work with a registered Financial Adviser who will discuss options with them and develop an individual plan

The Hammock Group are advisers for a New Zealand owned and operated investment specialist, Booster. Booster is a well-established, gold-rated, award winning, certified socially responsible Kiwisaver and investment provider who are committed to getting New Zealanders on the financial front foot and currently manage 100,000’s of New Zealanders investments for them. Booster is a Government chosen default provider and will be used to manage the portion of money that is to be saved by the Junior Driver.

HRNZ are excited to be able to create this opportunity to our junior drivers and we know we already have a number of juniors ready to sign up. This is an opportunity HRNZ recommend all junior drivers to look into and Matt Golding will be in touch with you all soon to have a one on one chat.
