New Publication for New Zealand Racing

The Racing Industry Transition Agency (RITA) is partnering with Raceform Publications to support RACEFORM, a new publication incorporating TAB’s Best Bets, featuring racing news, informed industry views and expanded betting information.

RITA Chair Dean McKenzie says the arrangement to license Best Bets for inclusion in a comprehensive racing publication will provide New Zealand punters with a single publication featuring racing news and form.

“RITA has been working for several months to support the development of a new, independent racing publication and we’re excited at the prospect of RACEFORM being launched,” says McKenzie.

“Incorporating Best Bets in RACEFORM aligns with RITA’s focus on driving revenue for racing and provides an opportunity to improve customer service by supplying more information for punters and ultimately delivering on our objective to promote racing.

“It is particularly pleasing to see the industry working together in a collaborative manner to bring this partnership to fruition, something that will be even more important as we work through the remainder of the racing reform programme.”

RACEFORM will be edited by award-winning journalist Dennis Ryan, who says the new-look publication will showcase the best of the New Zealand racing industry as well as providing expert and comprehensive betting information.

“I’m excited at the prospect of a weekly news and form guide to serve the needs of punters, stakeholders and racing fans, and from my own experience as well as feedback from a wide range of participants, there’s keen anticipation at what we’re about to deliver,” says Ryan.

“Racing is full of wonderful stories about our people and our horses. The background, the build-up and the thrill of raceday itself is something we plan to capture and bring to our readers.”

RACEFORM, incorporating TAB Best Bets, will be available from TABs and all good retailers who currently stock Best Bets on 5 December.
